The classifiedextra.ca site gives users access to information available on the Internet upon connection. Some Canoe sites also offer a range of products and services that give users differential access to information, in particular search engines, product and/or service listings, e-newsletters, tips and hints and other content specific to the realm of classified ads (non-exclusive list). These general conditions apply to all products and services provided by Canoe Inc. By using the services provided, the customer agrees to use the services provided by Canoe Inc. on the classifiedextra.ca site in compliance with applicable law and the following general conditions.
All content (text, illustrations and images) found on the classifiedextra.ca site is protected by copyright and international intellectual property law. Any reproduction in whole or in part of the classifiedextra.ca site is strictly prohibited. No alteration, copying, distribution, transmission, broadcasting, display, reproduction, publication, licensing, transfer or sale of any information, software, product or service obtained on this website or creation of derivative works from this website is permitted.
You are responsible for keeping your Canoe Passport ID and Canoe Passport password confidential. Canoe Inc. cannot be held responsible for any unauthorized use of your account. Should the confidentiality of this information be compromised, please notify us as soon as possible to avoid any fraudulent use of your Canoe Passport ID. Canoe Inc. cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage arising from lack of compliance with the security measures set out in this section. You are advised to read carefully the LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY set out in these conditions of use to be aware of the extent of your liability regarding the services on the classifiedextra.ca site.
You accept the sole responsibility for the contents of your product and/or service listing(s) for any and all products and/or services advertised through our services. Furthermore, you accept any and all consequences that may result from such publication. You also accept to use your classifiedextra.ca package solely to promote your product and/or service listings for the products and/or services that you wish to sell, lease, trade or give away by using our services. You may not use Canoe’s services to conduct any study, contest or pyramid scheme, send chain letters, or engage in spamming, hacking or any other unlawful act. You are also prohibited from engaging in any action that may prejudice the rights of others or prevent others from using the service. It is also prohibited to perform an act that could undermine the rights of a third party, or their enjoyment of the service. While Canoe Inc. reserves the right to remove data, at its sole discretion, this is an option, rather than an obligation. Classifiedextra.ca makes no statements regarding the control over the contents available, given the volume and speed of data transmission through the service.

You may not post libellous, indecent, offensive, violent or racist comments on the Canoe sites, or any illegal content that may infringe the intellectual property of others, subject to legal action. The user agrees to comply with all laws in effect when using Canoe’s services.
It is forbidden to use this website to sell counterfeit or stolen merchandise or products infringing upon copyrights, patents, trade secrets, property rights or any other rights, including rights to confidentiality of third parties. It is also forbidden to sell illegal products, products that go against accepted moral standards or restricted products such as prescription drugs.

Although there is an adult section in the classifiedextra.ca website, we do not allow classifieds of a sexual nature. To place an ad in our adult section, please contact one of our
partner newspapers.
All ads placed on classifiedextra.ca are subject to verification by the Customer Service Team. To ensure user security, ads placed in the Obituaries, Pets and Financial/Business categories are subject to approval prior to posting. Ads in other categories will be posted immediately, and then verified by the Customer Service team. Ads that do not comply with our terms and conditions will be removed from the site, in which case the client will be notified accordingly.
We reserve the right to modify the text of an ad to ensure that its content conforms to our standards. We also reserve the right to reclassify ads to ensure they are placed in the most appropriate section.
Canoe cannot guarantee total security or efficiency. It is possible that computer hackers may access the service. Therefore, BEFORE YOU USE YOUR PASSPORT ID OR YOUR PACKAGE, IF APPLICABLE, TO ACCESS OR CARRY OUT TRANSACTIONS ON THE CANOE SITES, it is important to keep in mind that ill-intentioned individuals may access the classifiedextra.ca site servers and use personal information disclosed by the members of Canoe Passport for their own purposes. IN NO CASE may Canoe Inc. or any of its administrators be held responsible for acts of computer hacking or any damage or loss thus incurred by a member of Canoe Passport. The classifiedextra.ca site may occasionally crash and programming errors may be caused by updates or by events not under the control of the administrators.
The administrators and members of the organization cannot be held responsible if a member is unable to access the classifiedextra.ca site, regardless of the reason (lack of comprehension, poor telephone line, incompatible modem, broken cable, incorrect configuration, incorrect browser, etc.).
Canoe Inc. or third parties may establish links to other sites or sources. Canoe Inc. has no way of controlling such sites and sources and is not responsible for and cannot guarantee their availability. Canoe Inc. does not recommend or endorse the content provided by such sites or sources and is not liable and makes no warranty for the content.

There is no formal technical or technological support for this product, however customer service is available.
During the trial period, Canoe Inc. reserves the right to refuse to allow any applicant or customer to advertise at any time at its own discretion.
Canoe Inc. also reserves the right to modify the conditions of use of classifiedextra.ca and its FAQ at any time.
TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, CANOE INC. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ADS AND OTHER SERVICES, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MARKET QUALITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
1. Prices
Our product prices are in Canadian dollars, excluding the applicable sales tax. All orders, regardless of origin, are payable in Canadian dollars. Canoe Inc. reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Products are always invoiced based on the prices in effect at the time the order is placed.
2. Payment
All purchases must be paid by credit card (American Express, MasterCard or Visa). Payment must be made in accordance with the procedure outlined during the registration process. The customer agrees to pay the total cost of the product purchased, plus any additional charges, including tax. These charges are not refundable. Canoe Inc. can change the price after notifying the customer. The customer is fully responsible for fulfilling payment obligations. THE USER IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS. CANOE INC. IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PAYMENT PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE E-COMMERCE SERVICE.
3. Payment using a Promo Code
Customers using a promo code for a purchase can only benefit from the terms of the associated promotion.
4. Payment security
Classifiedextra.ca is a secure e-commerce website. Canoe Inc. has reinforced the security of its sites to protect sensitive payment transaction data using SSL encryption technology.
Canoe Inc., its parent companies or subsidiaries and affiliated companies on the classifiedextra.ca site are in no way responsible for damages, including compensation, whether direct or indirect, or any other damages whatever that may be incurred by users or any other individual or company due to technical equipment or technology on the classifiedextra.ca site or due to human or technical error at any stage, or for any technical problems or defects in the electronic or communications networks, on-line computer systems, servers, computer equipment, software, data transmission or any other technical problem or congestion on the website or elsewhere.
This service conditions contract is governed by the applicable laws of the province of Quebec. You hereby acknowledge that any legal action arising from or related to the use of the Canoe sites and services shall be determined by the courts in the district of Montréal, province of Quebec.
You hereby agree to defend Canoe Inc. in the event of a legal proceeding against the latter following a violation of these conditions of service by you or any user of your link to classifiedextra.ca.
Canoe is not responsible for the failure to perform, in whole or in part, any of its obligations to you, nor for damages or losses you may incur, if the failure to perform, damages or losses occur as a result of a fortuitous event or circumstances beyond its control.
Classifiedextra.ca is a service that caters to individuals and businesses that wish to sell, buy, rent, trade or give away products and/or services. It is not intended for individuals or businesses that are canvassing for new clients. All communications, including communications by e-mail and telephone must be limited to information concerning the products and/or services advertised through classifiedextra.ca. Solicitation for any other purpose, product and/or service is forbidden.
